Description (Enhanced):
Prepare for visual arts auditions with confidence, clarity, and strong portfolio presentation — all online, in a focused and supportive setting.
This class is designed for students preparing for selective visual arts programs (including Bak and Dreyfoos–style auditions) who want to present their work confidently without stress or overwhelm. Students receive guidance on portfolio development, artistic choices, and how to talk about their work clearly and comfortably.
The online format offers major advantages for audition prep:
-
Students work directly with their own artwork and materials
-
Feedback is focused and individualized
-
There’s less performance pressure than in a studio setting
-
Students can practice explaining their work in a calm, controlled way
Calil’s low student-to-teacher ratio ensures each student receives meaningful feedback and encouragement. Confidence grows naturally as students understand what to present and how to present it.
This class is ideal for:
-
Students preparing portfolios or auditions
-
Artists who get nervous explaining their work
-
Families seeking focused, confidence-first audition support
