Join our fantastic Digital Media Coach Calil NOW for our Confident Dreyfoos Digital Media Audition Submission Workshop, Jan. 4, 2026, 6:30-8:30 pm to get your student ready to confidently complete and submit required audition materials due January 7, 2026.

This Workshop Will Focus on Three Crucial Aspects of the Audition That Must be Submitted to Dreyfoos by January 7, 2026 As Well as Confident Audition Techniques

Section 1: The first Section is focused on feedback for the students’ existing images that they plan to submit, along with some tools for analyzing others’ images to better inform their own.

Section 2: The majority of our time will focus on the only timed elements of the audition: the 2DD, and written statement. Here we will review the fables, discuss design strategies for working with the specific constraints of colored paper, and cover how to analyze/discuss their 2DD in the written statement.

Section 3: We’ll also cover the 5th component during this time– where the students will describe why they want to attend Dreyfoos

Section 4: Review Confident Audition Mindset Steps

Calil Russell Arguedas, is an experienced art and digital media instructor working with children and adults. Calil's classes center on both technical and personal development using the visual arts. His low student:teacher ratios create engaging, encouraging, and patient learning experiences. He is a graduate of Bak and Dreyfoos in Florida, and holds a BFA in studio art from the Cooper Union in New York City.
